Fitz (Harvard, M.D. 1909) was associate professor of medicine at Harvard Medical School from 1922 to 1936; he also taught history of medicine during the last twenty years of his career. From 1947 to 1952 he served as assistant dean of the Faculty of Medicine and from 1935 to 1952 was a marshal of Harvard University. Winston Leonard Spencer Churchill was born at Blenheim Palace, Woodstock, on 30 November 1874.
